Find out how we are managing COVID 19
A change to our working practices
COVID-19 has affected millions of people all around the world and it is imperative that we do our part to limit and mitigate its infection rate.
From Monday 22nd June our working practices will change to take in account new safety measures. These new safety measures are designed to protect both those who come into direct contact with the company and the company’s employees and agents.
Promoted and supported by HM Government, the SaferTrader® Covid Secure training package is currently in use at Eco Emporium Home Improvements. This training is our first line of defence to protect those who we come into contact with during the course carrying out our daily activities and work.
What happens if you make an appointment with us?
We will be asking all those who make an appointment with us to answer a few questions over the telephone to help us to complete a risk assessment. When you are visited by our advisor at your door for your appointment, they will ask you to confirm or explain if anything has changed.
If you decide that we are the right company to complete your desired work, then we will then ask you to answer some further questions to help us complete a Customer Site Risk Assessment. This risk assessment will form a part of your survey and will be carried out at the same time.
What happens after we have completed your work each day?
Our installation teams often have to work in fairly close proximity to each other and touch the same surfaces. You can be assured that all relevant surfaces upon completion of your work will be disinfected using Barbicide ®. Barbicide is a proven and effective disinfectant against Human Coronavirus.
A statement from www.barbicide.com states – “While no company has been able to receive actual COVID-19 samples and put them through the rigorous testing required, the EPA considers efficacy against Human Coronavirus to include COVID-19.”
A new normal!
In addition to these new working practices we will of course be maintaining measures already in place. These include, but are not limited to, social distancing, the use of appropriate PPE, and above all else good old fashioned common sense.
Our customers are our future but the lives and safety of us all are more important than anything else imaginable. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for trusting us to look after you.
